Hi all, We are facing prob. in MPEG card. WE are using 6 mil stencil with steel squeezee. There are two 20 mil Ics. Once we set profile according to the profile given by the supplier after that we made 2000 nos of boards & in first shot almost boards were OK. But after 15 days the boards becomes dry at the IC,s only. Because after touchup its working ok but without touch up these are showing different kind of prob. What may be the reson that once these are OK & after 15 days these are showing prob!!

Are you saying that immediately after the initial assembly process the boards work and then after these same boards sit for 15 days they don't? If that's the case I would suspect contamination maybe. what type of flux are you using and what is your cleaning process if applicable. I don't understand the "dry soldering" term.

Yes,immediatly means after three days of the SMT production.Actually we are using o clean heraeus Solder paste with 2%AG. The contamination is 90.5%.We are not using any extra flux.

Hi MSK. Unfortunately Your English description isnt clearly, I dont understand exactly what problem you are facing, and I only see perhaps solder paste is wrong or contamination from something.. Would you like to description your case again? If you can get some picture about this problem, then send to me thats very good,it can help me us to review /analyse.
