Fuji IP3 Nozzles

Has anyone used Fuji's rubber tip nozzles for the IP3? Are they O-ring type or suction cup? I'm having trouble picking up Ompacs due to the top of the part not consistently being flat. Any actual experience with these $1100 nozzles would be appreciated.

SMT Research <----the company I use for nozzles, Carries up to the 20mm Conformable nozzle for just over $200.00 Here's their number 847-587-7200 M-F 8-5 CT Hope this helps.... And I havn't had to use them yet but there is a high success rate for the conformable nozzles. -Ben

Another inexpensive, but good nozzle resource is WP Sales (817) 459-0181 I believe they can also do Custom nozzle jobs. -Ben Wayne....Should Hover Davis be mentioned here too?

As far as O-ring type nozzles I don't think they are compliant enough for this application. I'm looking for something like the Fuji QP suction cup nozzle, and I'm wondering if the IP version is similar. I guess I'll order one and see what I get.

To give you an example of where I'm coming from...find a suction cup, and inspect it. To me, it looks as though there are too many chances for one side of the cup to land first, causing skew of the parts. -Ben

It has a suction cup interior for a good seal , but outside of the suction cup is a regular steel nozzle tip. We've been using them for months with no problems placing 20mil pitch. I would highly reccomend them for anyone using a QP.

Thanks for the clarification....I just misunderstood what you meant when you said suction cup....I was thinking just that, a piece of molded, highly flexible rubber. I must have been temporarily blinded and not seen the "QP" -Ben
