Or KISS 103 seems to blown on of the Gecko Stepper drives. Anyone have a good way to replace it? There does not seem to be any good access to it. Do I need to remove the complete solder assembly to gain access?

You can access the GECKO from the rear service access panel. It's also possible that you blew the fuse for the Gecko and not the gecko itself. Usually when the Gecko goes, the axis works, but it shudders or grinds. If it's totally dead, the fuse is more likely.

I have the rear panel off and I can see the Drive but there is very little clearance looking down or working. Where are the fuses located? We also had the breaker pop a few times on out main breaker before this happened.

Unfortunately, I had 4 machines, and they all had slightly different component layouts. However, the fuses are usually behind the geckos (toward the front of the machine) just on the other side of the wire tracks. Probably a Terminal Black type with glass fuses.

Is this a SWACK or MACH machine?

My original GECKOs all had labels marking them [X, Y, Z, SP] I believe the fuses holders did also.

I used a mirror on a stick and I took a set of plastic handle precision screw drivers and cut the handles in half in order to be able to work the small space.

Mach3. Found the fuses, had to pull the front off to reach them. The fuses are labeled, all the drives but the Z (one in question) are labeled also. Makes me think the drive might have been replaces before. All the fuses are good, hard to get in there to measure voltages. We pulled the Z fuse to check it After us moving around in there and replacing the Fuse it now working. We are going to run well we can (need the production) I think long term we will have to tear the machine down to gain good access to the electronics and check out everything and make sure nothing is loose or corroded.

I can tell you that Z motors and Geckos were the items we replaced most often. We had two MACH machines converted to SWAK and didn't have the GECKO issue anymore. But still replaced Z motors and Pump (SP) motors. When I ordered the motors direct, I would usually get two of each so we had them. Should you have any further issues or questions, you can email me.

Next problem, Lead bot is not heating up. HAve it apart and it seems to be the Thermal switch on the side. You can see where the contact was arcing on one end from a bad connecting. Question what is the ratting or replacement? We can not read the information on it.

Thermal switch? I only recall our pots having 4 heating elements wired together to a plug.
