Well, title. There are couple different FAI machines, but from what I've seen, there is some application that floating around the internet that allows you to scan the assembled board before reflow on AIO machine for JPG file, and then run in into FAI application to check the placements from cad and bom, and polarities via drawing of the pcba. Can someone share the cookie please?

I have tested extra-eye only but there are many other machines for this task. The question is how you want to solve this problem, inline or off-line?

I highly recommend that to you, to check YouTube. There are many training and example videos about how to programming different FAI or AOI machine. If I were you I choose some older but user-friendly AOI machine.

As I understand it MEK has an FAI mode as standard and ALeader have one that is an optional extra. I haven't asked anyone else about this feature. AgnosPCB can take images and compare them against a reference image but I don't believe it has an FAI mode or accept any BOM/Location data.

I haven't seen a standalone FAI software such as you describe, however SMT Assistant could be used to guide you around a board I suppose - https://www.alciom.com/en/our-trades/products/smtassistant/ this is also forked as EigerPKP https://www.eigerdesign.com/epicknplace.html
