Fuji AIMEX IIIc | Panel ID reading problems

Hello,

we mark our PCBs with a data matrix code using an INSIGNUM Laser 4000 from ASYS.

This DMC is read at each machine for traceability. Also on our Fuji AIMEX IIIc pick-and-place machines. Unfortunately, we always have problems with the recognition of the barcodes on the pick-and-place machines. No matter with which lighting or settings, no sufficient contrast can be produced to read the DMC. The problem occurs with a wide variety of products.

The quality of the dmc is in a good condition. All machines and also hand scanners can read the codes without problems, only at the AIMEX they make problems.

Has anyone had the same experience and already found solutions to the problem?

An external barcode scanner in front of the machine is currently out of the question.
