MY19 Midas Tool Issue | 5 July, 2022

I am currently trying to setup a used MyData My19 machine and am currently having issues installing tools getting errors such as failed to pick up tool and Z force sensor failed. I have tried to clean the tool pickup area as well as clean and lubricate the tools. I have also checked and cleaned the cables of the FFX board as well as cleaned the sensors on the FFX board. Any other ideas on how to fix this issue? On similar note, while installing tools it often takes quite a while and the Midas head goes up and down many times, is this behavior normal or is it a product of the failure to install?

We just went through a similar issue with our MY12E. Make sure your Midas vacuum system is working, check your Midas Z friction. Also verify the Centering unit centering band. You can swap your MOTZ and MOTC to rule out the card. The tool install typically goes: 1 – Pick up tool 2 – Verify it's got the tool by either closing the jaws on it, or touching the tool bank 3 – Move up and down in the tool slot to find X and Y position 4 – Pick up and put tool away to verify the new learned location is working. This uses the centering jaws to verify.

Rotate Midus by hand and see if it is bent.
