Koh Young 3030 SPI - Not Homing | 3 May, 2021

Koh Young 3030 SPI machine. Has been running for the last 1-2 years. Now, it boots up as expected, up until the point where it should Home, but it does not Home. Any ideas what could cause it not to home. I know the older KY's are sensitive about the boot up process, and I've used the exact same boot up process as the last 1-2 years and it simply doesn't home.

Any ideas on where to troubleshoot?

Have you checked WinMCS? it's the software in windows that controls the machine. if you open it up it might have thrown some error codes, i believe it has some diagnostics in it aswell.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't checked or used WinMCS for troubleshooting. Based on your reply, I looked or WinMCS within Explorer and could not find it. Used the autosearch function for "MCS" and "WinMCS" and the autosearch did not find it either. Do you know which folder or where WinMCS is typically stored?

Preface; I don't know squat about the 3030 platform. On the 8030-3 it's under C>KohYoung>KY-3030>WinMCS.exe. We have WinMCS load on start up, there is an icon in the windows taskbar when it's running as well.

Thanks for the replies. MCS is not on our 3030, it probably wasn't available on the 3030 model.

The ethernet switch which connects the vision pc and the rtpc was found to be defective. The switch was replaced and the 3030 returned to normal operation.
