Hello,

I have some troubles with my MyData TP11-UFP with the precision of the placement. All the parts which are mechanically centered are slightly misaligned. Attached are some pictures of 0603 and a SOT23 part.

I have made the calibration but it did not helped much. Any ideas how to correct the alignment?

+1 to what Sr. Tech said.

I'd also add that you could have some uneven deterioration of the centering jaws.

Check by doing a couple of things (this will help check if the tool/tip is bent/deteriorated as well): 1. Turn off mechanical centering, and try a single placement. If your centering is better, your tool is likely ok, and either your jaws or centering set-up is off.

2. Change the centering level in the program. It's been awhile, so, you'll need to check in the manual which level(s) are used for which parts.

3. Change the centering depth (I think...it's really been awhile) to center on a different part of the part (low, mid, high).

4. Check the spring on the centering jaws. We had a couple of times where it broke and only caused minimal issues like this.

5. Double check your fiducial measurements/settings.

Hello,

I have fixed the issues with the centering. Below the centering head there is a adjustment screw. First you have to remote a few screws to get access to it. They you can turn the adjustment screw to align the centering jaws.
