Mycronic MY600 / Aegis Factory Logix | 28 January, 2020

Hello there,

I am wondering if there is any other way to program Mycronic MY600 jet printer beside I do with Aegis Factory Logix.

The issue that I encounter most of times is that the compiler and the software on its own keeps crashing. Other thing happen as well, not that important (I might describe if you want so), but I keep losing a lot of time with these crashes, and wanted to see if others use the same software(?), if yes, do you encounter similar issues? If you use other software, can you recommend me as well?

The software version is 8.171.5.0 The database version is 8.171.0.0

When I had a MY500, I was told the only way to program it was through the interface software. The reason given was because of the algorithm/processing. You couldn't even do on the fly changes at the machine.

I imagine they've continued that schema into the MY600.

Cheers, ..rob

You can do some changes on the fly on the machine, but is very limited. Like deleting a board from the panel, modifying offset, modifying fiducials etc.

The thing is, I have issues with the programming interface, because the crashes and errors I get is just doubling my time to program that machine while being forced to several software restarts (and sometimes losing program data unsaved).

This is why I thought asking you, if there is another way of programming the machine beside Aegis Factory Logix programming interface which I use.

You'll probably need Mycronic/Aegis input on your issues with the software.

When I was doing it a few years ago, the software interface was a lite version of CircuitCam, but, I was under the impression that Mycronic was going to deprecate that software, and move to another methodology. There's a chance that the 600's at current software can still be programmed on the older software...but, there's also a chance that the upgrades between when I was doing it back in 2016 no longer allow that. We got a refurbished 500 from Mycronics demo fleet, and I recall having two sets of software, and it's in my head that I was told the 600 was going to have a new programming suite.

I used the older MYCam s/w to program the MY600. We switched to FactoryLogix for the MY700 printer. By the way, Aegis also supports Mycronic's Factorylogix installations. You can contact them about the crashes. It can, also, be from Windows. Sometimes, Windows update messes up your system.
