Fuji IP2 MTU giving me fits | 21 December, 2018

I am at wits end with this machine. The MTU on my IP2 will not zero set. It gives me a few different errors depending on its mood. I receive MTU T- OT, MTU X- OT, or MTU Y- OT. when the machine attempts to zero set it travels until it OTs. I have tried everything I can think of. Does anyone know of something that would cause the machine to consistently OT on all 3 axis? Thank you for any help in advance.

When an older Fuji machine acts odd the first place to go is a reset start and reload proper, program, and status to see if that fixes it. Just make sure you have a good proper before you begin.

Thank you, Jerry. I have done a Fuji wash and resent proper and status, still no luck. I'm going to go through my proper and ensure it is indeed good.

DEX, The MTU has it's own proper and status separate of the IP2, are you sending both? Ed

As far as I can tell In the software I am using it has them combined. I am using ProSMT+. I don't see any option to send a separate proper for the MTU alone. Am I missing something?

Would I need to have the mtu in in the line as a separate machine? you know how good ol' ProSMT is, nothing seems to work how it should.

Open Proper Editor in the IP2 Machine box On the right side you will see boxes Near the bottom 1 box would be MTU Click on that. Load data from file. Send to machine.

These are some screenshots of the operator interface. I may be overlooking something, but I don't see any type of options for the MTU.

Sorry,

I looked at an IP-3 not 2. It looks like for the IP2 they bundle the MTU and machine proper together so it should be sending the data when you transmit the one file.

Do the axis travel in the correct direction? If yes the only thing I can think of is that (I believe) all of the in range switches run through the same input card so maybe that is bad.

If they travel the wrong direction the in range switches may have something blocking the sensors.

Not a problem! I appreciate all the help! They all travel in the correct directions. Do you know which input card I should be looking at to check the range switches?

They go through TN-3 to get to the TSA-200A D/A module. This is all in the MTU. It's been a long time since I worked on an IP-2 but see if you can get to the I/O screen for the MTU. Have someone flag the in range sensor and see if the input status on the screen changes.

If you are referring to the zero sensors then they are all working as they should.

If anyone else encounters this issue my solution was the TSA-200A board replacment.
