Hi,

We are looking at updating our shopfloor batch tracking system to an individual serial number system. Usually we would develop in house but we're a bit tight on IT resource at the moment. Does anyone have any recommendations for easy to use off the shelf simple systems that show you what is where, and stop parts moving on if prior operations have not been completed? Needs to be relatively simple so that we can later integrate with our system. Thanks, Rob.

Hi Rob,

We have a solution, called DCollector, that works with serial numbers and route card. Also, if you have a fail, you must write it and serial can't continue in the route until you fixed it and report pass.

Thanks Alexei, I did take a look at https://www.proventustech.com/dcollector but it didn't come across as that sort of system. Also we don't often get CAD which seemed to be at the heart of DCollector. How many production & inspection stages can you have in a route? Thanks, Rob.

Hi Rob,

Follow you questions: CAD is one of the option to collect data but it is not a must. You can collect information based on form/table only. All you need is: a product information (such as catalog number, description, customer, route card and so on) and a work id information (such as work ID, product, quantity to produce, route card if it is different from product, optional list of serial numbers and so on).
