Maintenance Cost (Software)

Hi all!

I work for a major OEM manufacture. I recently recieved a mail regarding a maintenance contract on our software that makes program for our assembly lines. The contract enabled mail and telephone support including patches and updates(which necessarily do not have to happen). The total purchase of the system was �X. The support costed 15% of that amount.

Doesn't it seems a bit expensive?
