How has the Electronics lanscape changed?

Hi All, It has been some time since I last posted here. I have been out of the industry (kinda) for about 4 years now.

With the current conditions... - How has manufacturing state side faired? - How have the equipment manufacturers made out? Siemens, universal and such.

Just curious as I dont have my finger on the pulse.
