Hi,

Has anyone got first hand experience with the JT wave soldering machines, WS series? I use a low solid VOC free flux and it seems I have problems atomizing the flux properly and this generates soldering defects, leaving lumps and big solder balls on the solder resist! The nozzle has 1.3mm size and it is positioned at 100mm distance from the board.

I've installed a number of these machines here in the US, several of them with VOC free applications. I would need to get a bunch of questions answered before I could make any suggestions: What is the pcb width? length? conveyor speed? flow rate (mm/min)? If you turn off the wave, is the flux dry when it comes out of the preheat section? Are you using pallets? Please e me at bill@ietechnology.net Good luck.
