We are about to use BGAs on our equipment. We clean all products prior to confomally coating them - to keep moisture off the IC legs. Will this be a problem with BGAs. Will we need to get the coating underneath the BGA or will the pitch on the balls

Id also like to know how this is possible. I am skeptical and would venture to say that it only looks clean but actually is not. Hopefully I am wrong and tests show there is actually no residue so we can save lots of $$$ here. Thanks

Depending on what model you have, they should come with anti-stat bars. They could be worn. I haven't seen this technology used in years. Are you running product in a "clean-room"?

Tell your assembler they shouldn't wash no clean paste,they will have to use a part stretcher to get parts to fit back on pads!!!??????????????

Try Avantec Topklean EL-60, can clean off solder paste or uncured glue, is hydrocarbon based cleaner - but with high flash point. Will evapourate faster than water based solutions, not as fast as IPA , but does much better job.
