What are the most common solvents/processes being used to clean paste from metal stencils? Any heat?

See Daves Answer above and change it to "paste mfgr." Also most all of the cleaning companies have chemistries. Are you cleaning noclean or W.S.? IPA works if you clean them manually, Or the chemicals that the Ultra sonics mfgrs recommend. Search

Hi System Steve, What is a solvent cleaner over water wash? Solvent first and then rinse with water? And why do they feel the need to bake the boards? Do they think trapped moisture will cause board damage?

We are using a Propyl Bromide vapor degreaser solvent. Has anyone heard of this solvent when used near an oven will decompose and cause major corrosion to metals such as in a Reflow oven or a wave solder pot?

Hi, We used Abzol for cleaning the smt assembled boards; now this solvent is not available any more in Europe. Does anyone knows a replacement for this solvent ?

Ink marking under conformal coating

This material contains acetone in 30% plus range and toluene with this solvent combination ink is not an option. You will have to get a CC that doesn’t contain acetone as solvent.
