Hi Vee, I thank you very much for the reply, and yes everything is ROHS. I am reading over the manual and looking at the differences between them. I also have a questions for you regarding stencils for BGA and other types of packages. Do you know any

Nothing wrong with using RoHS BGAs except that the spheres won't melt/collapse at normal leaded reflow temps. Reliability will questionable. Some people use a hybrid profile with a slightly higher temp (~230C)and a slightly longer TAL (60 -90 sec).

I have an issue with PLCC Insufficient Heel solder joint fillet. The aperture dimension is : 30 x 100 mils on PCB & on stencil also(1:1 per gerber).Rohs Process. My stencil thickness is 5mils due to presence of Tssop & QFP package & i cannot increase

I would reccomend at least a 8 zone system when doing RoHs. Most of the better systems (Vitronics, heller, BTU, ETC) built since 2006 should be able to run the higher temps for Pb Free. Should be a lot of them on the market world wide (used) with l

I don't have one, but a lot of ovens of this vintage are on the market because they DO NOT cope well with lead free processes. There is one of these on eBay right now and it even says ROHS is right at the limit of what it can just about manage so thi

why all people speak only the temperatur? the speed convoyor is very important too... with lesser zone of reflow you can lower the convoyor speed... but if i must speak about temperature and zone i think the minimum for solder all board in ROHS is 5

What do you mean by solder in ROHS. Can you please explain me little bit. Is that really important while doing lead free process. Also, please tell me wether a 8 zone (4 bottm and 4 top) reflow oven with 300 degree max.. Is good to do the lead free

Dears, I would like to aks you, about minimal distance between solder pads for THT components for selective RoHS soldering. Is there some standarts, where I can find this information? Enclosed is draft, what I mean. Thank you very much for your suppo

As a manufacturer, I prefer plated nickel gold, electroless nickel immersion gold, immersion silver and palladium. These surface finishes are the best options to replace leaded surface finishes. These surface finishes can withstand higher temperature

That's a good point, although hand soldering a xfmr on a RoHS assembly isn't going to be a walk in the park. My other question would be did it fail because it got hot, or did it get hot because it failed?
