It depends on the flux and the down-stream processing ... * If there is adequate down-stream cleaning: We are ambivalent. * If the flux is low residue and there in no down-stream cleaning: We don't like using a syringe because it squirts liquid flux

Well... Some are worse than others... How can you identify that it is caused by uncured mask and not flux residues? The flux is from indium, 3592. Some research in their tech library revealed that either Kyzen or Zestron would work, which is the re

We assume this is different discussion that the discussion about "crystallized flux under BGA". Correct? Milky residue with water washing makes us think "noclean flux res that just got washed". We know what you said, but we can't help ourselves.

I have experience to the Kester 2331 water soluble flux long time ago with white residue and it related to the solder masking. Check what kind of the solder mask and ask Kester to do the test for you. Rgds.

On all the trials I have done I have made no changes to the stencil thickness or apertures than the normal changes we make for our process. I have not changed any thing in terms on volume of solder for more reliable joints. I fact I have not read any

We don't agree that "a little to the top would just even things out". The raw flux on the top of the board never touches the wave and so, does not receive the proper amount of heat for activation, except at the through hole barrels. * We assume WML

Hi Radek, Thanks for your reply. I use this flux with manual soldering process for the product. Is this flux suitable for manual soldering? or it is only for wave soldering? I have sent the board for analysis, and the report shown that the white res

The chain and fingers for our Wave solder is getting a large amount of residue from the flux (high dissolved solids) we are using. Any recommendations for products that can clean polymerized flux.

Greetings. My company has a VOC-Free no-clean wave solder flux with 4% solids. I have a number of questions as they relate to our ICT Fixtures. Currently, we're encountering the following issues: 1.) PM on probes....What is the recommended PM p
