Slaine, We use a Pd/Ag thickfilm paste. Because of the leaching we had to start using solder pastes that have silver in it. For RoHS, we are using a solder paste with an alloy of Sn95/Ag05. We also have to double print the thickfilm pastes. I h

To have symbol embedded in PCB copper it could be an opportunity for error because in case of mountinng on it a non ROHS compliance components/devices, the symbol would not tell the true. Better use the Rohs compliant label, stiked on PCB when sure

There are some RoHS BGA:s that are within the "so called" solder joint strength & reliability, that can be solder in a non LF-environment! Certaininly LF-free or RoHS BGA will sometimes work the other way around. (I know about the ball melting point)
