Non-Rohs PCB

Electronics Forum | Mon Sep 11 09:43:14 EDT 2006 | C.K.

So, your scenario is: * Lead Free Solder Paste * Lead Free Reflow Profile * RoHS Components * Non-RoHS (Sn-Pb HASL plated)PCB If that's the case, you should be just fine running your Lead-Free process. There is literature on the topic of lead

China's RoHS version (very concerned about the environment)

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 25 09:39:04 EDT 2006 | patrickbruneel

Electronics firms doing business in China need to be aware that while China RoHS targets the same substances restricted by the EU RoHS directive, the China policy stipulates that compliance can only be verified by testing done in accredited Chinese l

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 11 14:48:25 EDT 2007 | rgduval

My boss just received some info through a design mailing list that he's on claiming that FR406 is not RoHS compliant based on the limited number of processing cycles at RoHS compliant temperatures. I would guess that this is related to the relativel

So if I have a PCB with 2000 parts on it and one > 0805 resistor has 63/37 plating on the > terminations the entire assy has to be considered > non lead free? That cant be right... can it? Afraid so. One thing I've noticed is that now it's pre

Does anyone here edit Wikipedia? I just checked and couldn't find the IPC link listed there. I still think if you ask what the OP asked then wiki is a good place to start. I did find this interesting link. http://www.ventureoutsource.com/contract-ma

We are facing low quality due to soldering opens with coilcraft inductors 0402CS-2N7XGLW. The termination used is(suffix L =RoHS compliant silver-palladium-platinum-glass frit. Did anyone had this problem in the past? Can we do better using T = RoH

coilcraft i ROHS inductors soldering problem

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 07 11:58:36 EDT 2008 | pbarton

We have experienced the same problem with Pd/AG and P/Ag terminations on precision resistive parts. The problem is dissolution of the termination metallisation into the bulk solder. This is exacerbated by the higher thermal profiles required for RoHS
