If you wish to specify ENIG, your best method of doing it is to simply invoke IPC-4552 (or IPC-4553 for immersion silver) on the fabrication drawing. These IPC standards define ENIG and IAg, and I believe they specify 150-180 uinches of nickel covere

Check with your PCB supplier who the manufacturer of your I-Ag is. This makes a world of difference with regards to solderability.

Samir, To correct some misconceptions on the answers to your question, and "what you know from experience": With both ENIG (Electroless Nickel/Immersion Gold-IAu) and IAg (immersion silver), soldering does not take place to the gold or the silver. Wh
