As a QA guy, I cannot find a portable equipment to check lead free solder in the container during processing.

Dear all, We observed visible micro crack at top side of solder fillet during lead free wave solder process. We did not see any visible micro crack at bottom side, and it always located at joints of transformer. Any input be much appreciated. Best

Been loading lead free (steel, bismuth) for a couple of yrs. now. Our Wildlife division went ROHS on the waterfowl hunting some time ago. So now we just wound geese and ducks and let them die somewhere that they are of no use except coyote food!

What is your solder pot temperature? We found that on a 0.093" multilayer board increasing the temp of the lead free solder from 300C to 315C helped with the barrel fill.
