We are planning on installing an SMT Line in our building. We own 75% of the building, there is a crossfit gym next door and they tend to drop weights where we can feel the vibration. Should we be concerned with the SMT Line being set up on that end

I think silicone mask is ok, This is so that after soldering, you can use these holes to fit other components later. This peelable layer is needed, unless you want to solder each component manually--From ALLPCB

Hi Evtimov, For BGA's you place 4 on each side right outside the edge balls and it pulls the case down and a bit is pulled between the balls on reflow. Not tried gluing a crystal (they only gave me a strip to play with)

You may want to look at a product called place & bond underfilm. It is essentially a SMD tape and reel placed pad that acts like underfill when going through reflow. I got some samples from an APP tech day and had a play and it bonds very well. Y

Does anyone have any experience with vibration testing of BGA packages and assemblies? We are starting to design BGA's into some of our products and we have not found very much information on vibrational test results. Any information will be helpfu
