The way it works is the liquid solder immediatley cures (or should I say burns) the WSOL where ever it touches it. This hardens and keeps it in place and protects whatever is under it. Some of the WSOL falls of in the pot. I am suprised that the burn

I agree. The only way to make them care is to show them how it effects their pocket book. If you don't charge them they will continue not caring. If you do charge them you risk hurting their feelings and making them look bad in front of their bosses

I know IPC-A-610 RevD has requirements for Gold Fingers and solder contamination. Is there any such requirements for Gold Mounting Holes, Gold Pressure Fit Socket Lands (SMT pads), Exposed Gold Traces ? Wouldn't these all be considered "critical cont
