OPERATOR RECERTIFICATION

Learners will participate in a discussion and overview of the IPC/WHMA-A-620. When there are revisions and/or amendments to this standard, learners will discuss applicable changes. Students will be able to make correct “accept/reject” decisions for the appropriate class/classes of production, based on the acceptability requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620.

Soldered Terminations (section 4)

Connectorization (section 9) and Molding/Potting (section 10)
Module 5 – (optional)
Ultrasonic Welding (section 7) and Splices (section 8)
Module 6 – (optional)
Marking/Labeling (section 12); Wire Bundle Securing (section 14); Finished Assembly Installation (section 17)
Module 7 – (optional)
Coaxial and Twinaxial Cable Assemblies (section 13)
Module 8 – (optional)
Harness/Cable Electrical Shielding (section 15) and Harness/Cable Protective Coverings (section 16)

OBJECTIVE:

Satisfactory completion of this course:

• Successfully pass Module 1 with a score of 70% or better
• Successfully pass Modules 2-8 with a score of 70% or better
