In just three years, these contactors have become extremely successful because they provide a first-rate solution that effortlessly makes reliable, true Kelvin contact for high-volume final test of both singulated packages and wafer-scale devices.

Gemini™ Kelvin's durable, production-ready design ensures minimal cleaning and reliable contact for hundreds of thousands of device insertions. Customers report typical probe life of 500 to 800k.

Furthermore, Gemini™ Kelvin’s popularity results from industry leading key features and performance. At 0.1 mm, the ECT Gemini™ Kelvin probe offers the smallest DUT-side, tip-to-tip spacing seen in high-volume production environments today. The probe design also allows manageable board layout with a board-side spacing of 0.4 mm.

The contactor design maintains the probe tip positions for excellent alignment of every insertion, ensuring the best possible first-pass yields. At 3.22 mm test height, the Gemini™ Kelvin has an excellent all-around spring probe with an inductance of 1.12 nH, a bandwidth of 16 GHz, and conductance of 1.6 A continuous (6 A at 1% duty cycle).
