Everett Charles Technologies Joe Burns Receives the Patriot Award

Mar 14, 2008

Pomona, CA - The Contact Products Group (CPG) of Everett Charles Technologies (ECT) announces that Joe Burns, operation manager, received the Patriot Award on Monday, March 10, 2008 during a ceremony that took place in Warwick, RI at ECTs Ostby Barton Division facility.

Donna Callahan from the Rhode Island branch of the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and Ernie Almonte, Rhode Island Auditor General and the volunteer State Chairman of ESGR, presented Joe with the award, which was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals that provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nations call to serve.

Joe Burns was nominated for being highly supportive of the Reserve Service by his reserve component employees. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nations National Guard and Reserve units.

As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions within America s borders and beyond, ESGR will continue to be the resource for the employers of citizen warriors. ESGR provides education, consultation and, if necessary, mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.
