Valor to Provide DFM Software to Solectron

Nov 08, 2001

Productronica 2001, Munich, Germany 6th November, 2001 Valor Computerized Systems (Neuer Markt: VCR) today announced an agreement with Solectron Corporation, the leading global provider of electronics manufacturing and supply chain management services, to deploy Valor's Trilogy 5000 assembly and test engineering software and the Valor Parts Library (VPL) data service at Solectron New Product Introduction (NPI) and design centers worldwide.

Upon successful integration, the Valor system will enhance manufacturability and reduce time to market for our customers, said Dr. Vince DePalma, vice president of Technology and New Product Introduction, Solectron. We always look for new ways to better serve our customers design needs and believe Valor will help us improve the quality of our DFM analysis services.

Solectron participated in the Trilogy 5000 development and beta testing in 1999, and deployed the software at key technology sites in 2000. The company will now utilize the program at its NPI and design centers worldwide. Valors software will aid Solectron in its global design for manufacturing (DFM) process.

"Solectron and Valor have come together to meet the needs in the manufacturing process flow that will reduce NPI cycle time and enhance yield and quality. Valor's engineering products drive design-for-manufacturability verification back upstream, delivering optimized, robust jobs into production to reduce valuable rework time and product costs" said Schmil Dolberg, CEO, Valor Computerized Systems.
