Jim Raby Kicked Off High-Performance Electronics Cleaning Symposium with Successful Keynote

MADISON, AL � October 31, 2008 � STI Electronics, Inc., a full service organization providing training, distribution, consulting, laboratory analysis, prototyping, and small- to medium-volume PCB assembly, announces that Jim Raby, its founder and technical director, began the cleaning symposium as the featured keynote speaker for Day 1 at the High-Performance Electronics Cleaning Symposium.

IPC and SMTA jointly sponsored the High-Performance Electronics Cleaning Symposium held at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare in Rosemont, IL, USA from October 28-29, 2008. The sold-out symposium was extremely successful and well attended.

Jim Raby began the cleaning symposium as the featured keynote speaker for Day 1. Jim brought a real-world perspective to the challenges of the past and future. The conference was designed to be user-driven and attendees learned from experienced colleagues who are deeply involved with manufacturing residues, fluxes, and cleaning needs.

Jim has more than 45 years of experience in the industry including development of the NASA and Department of Defense Soldering Schools. He initiated the Zero Defect Program for Wave Soldering in addition to developing and implementing WS-6536D and the DoD-Std-2000 Specification programs. Jim's experience, expertise, and industry leadership are the foundation on which all STI products and services are developed and produced.
