SEHO Systems GmbH, a worldwide leading manufacturer of automated soldering systems and customer-specific solutions, announces that its recent seminars in the United States were a success.
Successful production begins with an educated employee. This was the main theme of the recent SEHO Academy seminars that were held for the first time at SEHO’s subsidiary in Erlanger, KY (near Cincinnati). Dr. Ronny Horn, product manager at SEHO Systems GmbH since 2004, chaired the seminars that were attended by approximately 30 engineers from different electronics production companies. The US seminars were well received by the attendees. Because there is a high demand for such training, another seminar session is being planned.
Qualified personnel can contribute remarkably to the optimum use of a soldering machine. Qualified employees optimize processes to reduce cycle times and improve product quality. Quick intervention in the case of failures can reduce potential downtimes significantly, and preventive maintenance will increase machine availability while reducing quality costs.
The wave soldering process and selective soldering process were central points of the US seminars. The different process areas of the machines were discussed and typical process parameters as well as their interactions were demonstrated. The seminars also focused on process-related soldering faults, their causes and different possibilities to eliminate them. During the hands-on training portion of the seminar, attendees had an opportunity to apply the acquired theoretical background knowledge.
SEHO Academy’s main goal is to provide effective training to customers and to transfer beneficial knowledge to increase the profitability of production lines. Therefore, SEHO also provides practice-oriented onsite consulting focused on customer demands. For example, optimization of processes and workflow or rework reduction can be a key aspect of optimum use of the equipment or effective use of flux and solder.
