JBC Tools, Inc., a leading provider of hand soldering and rework tools, announces that it has shipped 12 CD Soldering Stations to Computrol, Inc.’s Meridian, Idaho and Orem, Utah facilities. Computrol is a world-class provider of mid- to low-volume, high-mix electronic manufacturing services to OEMs.

With the installation of the CD Soldering Stations, Computrol has gained extended tip life with the systems’ auto tip hibernate feature, thus helping the company reduce costs significantly. With the high-power output of the CD Soldering Stations, Computrol now is able to solder heavy plane and thick PCBs with relative ease, decreasing cycle times.

“Ideal for lead-free, tin-lead, large and small components, new assembly, or rework applications, these stations are the best that we have used yet,” stated Blair Carpender, Computrol’s Production Manager.

The advanced compact CD Soldering Stations incorporate JBC technology in one self-contained unit. The intelligent sleep and hibernation functions help extend tip life and save energy with JBC's fast temperature recovery, which is unrivalled in the market. The unit is available in two handpiece options, depending on end-user requirements.

Computrol installed the CD Soldering Stations at its facilities in Orem, Utah and Meridian, Idaho, where the company specializes in turnkey electronics contract manufacturing; complete electronics assembly; single- and double-sided PCB assembly; cable assembly; wireless harness assembly; supply chain management; SMT, through-hole and mixed PCA; BGA assembly; press-fit and backplane assembly; electro-mechanical and subassembly builds; complete box builds; flying probe test, in-circuit test and functional test; and RoHS compliant/lead-free procurement and assembly.

More than 80 years of experience has placed JBC at the technological forefront of tools for soldering and rework operations in electronics. Innovation, efficiency and reliability are the key features of a wide range of products that have been designed to satisfy the most demanding requirements. JBC’s global organization of local offices and a distributor network spanning five continents enables the company to provide quick and efficient service.

Computrol, Inc., with manufacturing facilities in Meridian, Idaho and Orem, Utah, is a leading national provider of high-quality, low-volume electronics manufacturing capabilities, serving military, medical, aerospace, broadcast and general industry customers.
