After four days of hotly-contested competition on the Virtual Reality racing simulator at the Europlacer booth at this year’s Productronica exhibition, the top podium finish went to Jan Pokos, a Croatian student.
Jan is studying Mechatronics at Technical School Ruđer Bošković in Zagreb. He took to the racing seat, donned the VR headset and posted the fastest time over the duration of the trade show. His virtual racing prowess earned him a GoPro Hero7 Silver action-cam and the respect of his peers as well as the Europlacer exhibition staff.
Jan’s racing abilities became more evident when contacted about his winning time by Europlacer. He is a keen and successful go-kart devotee who races for karting manufacturer CRG. That real-life racing experience paid off.
Once qualified in mechatronics, Jan hopes to work at CRG, the company that manufactured his kart, or for celebrated Croatian EV hypercar developer, Rimac.
