PHOENIX, Arizona July 29, 2003 Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in web-document and collaboration technology, announced today the release of Brava! 4.1, the companys latest version of its industry leading view, markup, and collaboration software for web-based systems. Brava 4.1 features EDA/ECAD file publishing and viewing through Router Solutions Incorporateds (RSI) CAMCAD technology.

In February 2003, IGC and RSI, the premier provider of CAD/CAE/CAM integration tools for the printed circuit board industry, formed a partnering relationship to provide EDA file support in IGCs Brava multi-format CAD, image and document view and markup software. The partnership allows IGC to sell and distribute CAMCAD as an optional add-on for Brava.

RSIs CAMCAD software evolved out of more than a decade of experience with preparing, analyzing and translating ECAD data. CAMCAD was designed from the ground-up to work seamlessly with the more than 40 proprietary and standards-based file formats, making it a truly vendor-neutral solution. CAMCAD Professional software supports all major EDA/ECAD systems, including: Accel, Cadence, Mentor, VeriBest, Incases, PCAD, PADS, Protel, Redac, and Zuken. By using CAMCAD technology as a publishing engine for Brava, intermediate CC (XML) files created by CAMCAD are compressed and published to a Brava-readable format.

Our joint effort allows Informative Graphics to offer Brava with comprehensive EDA/ECAD capabilities that are both very powerful and cost-effective, said Dino Ditta, President at RSI. We believe that Brava broadens the value of CAMCAD to a wider audience of users by providing collaboration downstream to users across the design and supply chain.

An ever-increasing number of manufactured products utilize EDA technologies, so the need for a simple, web-based view and markup tool for design chain collaboration is obvious, said Gary Heath, CEO and President of IGC. The easy-to-use Brava viewer is the ideal method to facilitate secure downstream data review and collaboration for vertical enterprise and multi-supplier projects that use diverse design platforms.

Brava 4.1 also includes several performance optimizations, measurement improvements, and the ability to add Stellents Outside In office, image, and illustration format readers to Brava Publisher.
