San Jose and Irvine, CA
The Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA), a premier semiconductor trade association, today announced that its May Q&A luncheon series will focus on the industry's hottest topic, migration to 0.10-micron technology.
Industry experts will focus on the technical and business challenges of designing and manufacturing semiconductors at 0.10-micron process. The discussion will include the benefits of moving to this technology node and will review the issues surrounding design tools, test, equipment, photomask and foundries. The open debate format will uncover possible solutions for continuing to lead the industry in this technological direction.
The series will begin in San Jose, CA and continue in Irvine, CA:

About the Fabless Semiconductor Association:
In 1994, industry leaders incorporated FSA (www.fsa.org) to achieve a more optimal balance between wafer demand and capacity. Its more than 350 corporate members represent fabless companies, integrated device manufacturers, foundry providers, packaging/assembly houses, electronic design automation companies, investment bankers, intellectual property providers and other companies.
The organization encourages the relationship between fabless companies and suppliers; facilitates business partnerships; creates awareness of the fabless business model; disseminates relevant data; and fosters standards and policies.
The FSA's vision is that by 2010 half of all integrated circuit revenue will come from fabless operations.
