phoenix|x-ray, part of GE's Sensing & Inspection Technologies business, to open new West Coast Demo and Customer Service Center on June 5th

The brand-new facility will be located in the heart of the Silicon Valley in Newark, CA, and is scheduled to open June 5th, 2008.

The new site, which has been established to better serve customers in the area and to meet the increasing demand for high-tech non-destructive solutions, features a fully equipped applications and demo lab with state-of-the-art 2D and 3D x-ray and CT technology as well as training facilities.

"We look forward to continuing and improving the long-standing business relationships with our customers in the area and on the West Coast," said David Lehmann, CSO of phoenix|x-ray Systems + Services. "This new site is an important step for us towards increasing our service and applications capabilities and will allow us to grow while better serving customers."

phoenix|x-ray will celebrate this important milestone on June 5th, 2008 with an open house and technical symposium at the new site. Technical presentations will range from Advances in CT: Visualization of internal structures with submicrometer resolution to High-resolution x-ray inspection of QFN and MLF solder joints for defect analysis and process control and will touch on the latest trends in NDT.
