Jun 26, 2001 The AQS-3500 manual ultrasonic stencil cleaning machine from JNJ Industries, Inc. can accommodate stencils up to 29" x 29". This state of the art system uses integral sweep and pulse ultrasonic generation for optimal cleaning performance. It is equipped with an ergonomically designed control panel that utilizes electromechanical switches and digital timers to control the machine functions. Uniform cleaning power is provided throughout the entire tank by a matrix of 28 piezoelectric transducers. The AQS-3500 is designed for use with JNJ's GlobalTech AquaSonic line of aqueous cleaners, highly effective, environmentally friendly water-based solutions that employ a unique "electro-chemistry" technology for ultra-efficient cleaning.
The AQS-3500 is equipped with a power pump to drain unit that is integrated with a 5 micron filter and a solder drain trap with a stainless steel filter, so both the wash and rinse tank fluids are filtered before going to the drain. The pump and filter system are also used to re-circulate the tank fluids, keeping the wash and rinse tanks free from contaminants, resulting in longer bath life and reduced operating costs. An optional heater system is available for cleaning epoxies and other difficult to clean solder pastes, fluxes, and other soils. There is an optional drain back unit where operators can rest the stencil, allowing excess water to drain back into the wash tank while drying.
The two-tank system uses a dedicated wash tank for cleaning, with a dedicated rinse tank for immersing the stencil for rinsing. The operator can also run the ultrasonics during the rinse cycle to provide additional cleaning power. The power pump to drain unit can drain both tanks in just a few minutes, sending the tank contents either to an evaporator unit, a water treatment facility, or a filtration system. There is a convenient hand-held air gun to remove excess rinse water and to reduce drying time.
