What's happening at Sono-Tek in 2008?

We are embarking on a major new business development program in 2008 at Sono-Tek. Actually, we began laying the groundwork last year with the appointment of Dr. Joseph Riemer as President, with responsibility for shaping and executing this program. We now have two new Strategic Business Units in place with focused worldwide responsibilities.

The first SBU is focused on electronics applications, from our traditional fluxing applications to newer and rapidly developing solar energy and fuel cell applications. We are supporting these newer areas with application-specific products based on our ultrasonic atomization spraying and coating nozzle systems. They offer customers the same advantages of much higher transfer efficiencies, lower chemical consumption, reduced overspray and, thus, reduced environmental impact than is possible with traditional pressure nozzle systems.

The second SBU is focused on the application world beyond electronics applications. We have had success in medical device coating applications, which will be extended in 2008 with additional equipment offerings. We also will be enlarging on our successful initial entry into glass, textile and food-related spraying and coating applications with recently developed equipment and modifications.
