Medical Electronics Symposium Program Finalized

SMTA and MEPTEC announce the program is finalized for the two-day symposium titled "2011 Medical Electronics Symposium - Vital Technologies for Health" and registration is now open.  The event will be held September 27-28, 2011 at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. ASU's School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering is co-sponsoring the event. The event is also supported by iNEMI.

Day 1, September 27

  • Implantable Technologies, Products and Applications

Day 2, September 28

  • Materials and Design at the Board and Systems Levels
  • Systems Assembly & Manufacturing
  • Product Reliability & Testing Methodology
  • Medical Electronics System-Level Product Applications

Dr. Chris Wright, MD, FACC, Pioneer Cardiovascular Consultants, P.C. will present "Medical Technology for the Heart: A Physician's Perspective" to keynote the first day.  Dr. Stephen Kilpatrick, U.S. Army Research Laboratory, will give the keynote presentation "Leveraging ARL Technologies Toward High-Performance Body Sensor Networks for Soldier Health" to kick-off the second day of the event.
