FREMONT, CA - Alta Manufacturing, a leading Tier 3 electronics contract manufacturer specializing in NPI to pilot production of complex PCBAs, has been certified as a small, minority, woman-owned business by the Utility Supplier Diversity Program of the California Public Utilities Commission.

“Although Alta Manufacturing has been a minority woman-owned business for several years, the formalization of this status and corresponding certificate gives Alta direct access to a larger pool of government, large business and public utility electronics manufacturing opportunities,” said Craig Arcuri, CEO.

“While this certificate does afford Alta increased access to opportunities, we are still very aware that our success or failure is directly tied to our performance and responsiveness to our customers. My earliest memories of seeing my father work was of him spending countless hours programming the AOI machine so that we could increase our quality. He was willing to spend all night on that machine, and actually enjoyed it, even if it helped just a tiny bit. I look forward to bringing that passion for excellence to an even wider customer base,” said Anne Lee, Owner.

Alta Manufacturing was founded in 1998. Since that time, the company has become a leader in PCBA. Company roots can be traced back to Altatron, which was acquired by Flextronics in 1998. The founder, Mr. Lee, put together an experienced team comprised of industry veterans to compete in the highly competitive NPI PCBA industry. Today, Alta Manufacturing has grown into a diverse EMS supplier with factories in Silicon Valley and Suzhou, China that are able to provide services from NPI to offshore volume production with the superior service only a small company can provide.
