Zollner Elektronik AG, a leading global Electronic Manufacturing & Engineering Services (EMS) Company, and its USA division Zollner Electronics Inc. announced that equipment installation and validation testing was successfully completed in their new Milpitas manufacturing & NPI center.
“We are pleased with the results of the testing performed by a joint effort between our quality & process engineering departments and the Strategic Technologies group, supporting from our HQ in Germany. Our new state-of-the-art equipment performed flawlessly, producing outstanding test results. Importantly, one additional aspect is that all equipment platforms are part of our ‘copy-exact’ model and compatible throughout our global footprint” commented John Burke, General Manager of the new Milpitas facility.
“Congratulations to our Milpitas team for the excellent progress we have made considering that we began demolishing the facility in mid-August. Our USA & German colleagues and contractors executed like clockwork, meeting and improving our schedule to enable Zollner Milpitas to begin production before year’s end” added Markus Aschenbrenner, CEO.
Zollner’s Milpitas Manufacturing & NPI Center is designed to better serve customers throughout North America and support Zollner’s European and Asian production facilities. In addition to NPI support, the expanded low to medium volume production capabilities to support regional & domestic requirements broadens Zollner’s portfolio of services & capabilities supporting Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) based throughout North America.
