GAINESVILLE, GA - Count On Tools Inc., a leading provider of precision components and SMT spare parts, will celebrate its 20-year anniversary in 2011.

In 1991, Curt Couch, President, became a U.S. distributor of PB Swiss Tools, formerly known as PB Baumann Hand Tools. This business led to his further research in the SMT and electronics manufacturing industry and, ultimately, the creation of Count On Tools Inc.

“What started 20 years ago on a shoestring budget has grown steadily into a business far exceeding anyone’s expectations,” said Couch. “We are all very proud of this accomplishment and grateful to our customers and employees who helped get us here.”

Count On Tools manufactures high-quality, low-cost pick-and-place nozzles and associated components for the SMT and electronics manufacturing industries. Proven engineering expertise, coupled with the company’s commitment to manufacturing excellence and investment in the latest production equipment, ensures that innovation and competitiveness is applied to its entire extensive product range.

“During our first 20 years, our focus on customer service has never wavered. We understand that SMT consumables, for instance, demand a quick response. Because we offer high-quality replacement tooling for all major OEMs, whether small contract manufacturers or EMS companies, we have been able to deliver timely solutions again and again with very satisfied customers. By being in touch with our customer base, we also have been able to anticipate their needs and grow with their business. That is one of the major reasons we have been so successful. We very much look forward to the next 20 years,” added Couch.

Count On Tools continues to offer original rework services as well as custom tooling/nozzle design services and new nozzle offerings. Each year, the company produces thousands of custom nozzle designs for an array of components, from LEDs to connectors and switches. When asked what was most important about custom tooling products, Couch said, “We don’t just sell nozzles; we offer solutions that allow our customers to place any odd-form component without investing in new specialized equipment or resorting to hand assembly. Our goal is to optimize efficiency and save our customers money by maximizing the capabilities of the SMT equipment that they already use for production.”

Count On Tools’ standard nozzle range consists of every major SMT OEM from Fuji to MYDATA, Panasonic, Assembléon, Yamaha, Siemens, Universal and more. Count On Tools has become a worldwide leader in replacement nozzles and associated consumables for the electronics manufacturing industry.
