Visionscape® Complete Machine Vision Inspection Solution

RENTON, WA, — Microscan, a global technology leader for precision data acquisition and control solutions, announces that Juki Automation Systems has integrated a Microscan Visionscape® machine vision solution into the JX-100 placement systems.

Microscan’s machine vision solution, including Visionscape® software, application-specific software for part placement, NERLITE® lighting, and custom electronics and mechanics, allows the JX-100 to place BGAs, microBGAs, fine-pitch QFPs and other leaded devices down to 15 mil pitch. This, in turn, allows Juki customers to purchase a high-performance, cost effective pick-and-place product with the quality and performance that Juki customers have come to expect and appreciate from Juki globally.

“When the JX-100 was first released, we realized what a great machine this was going to be, but to make it a perfect fit for the mid-range SMT placement market we needed to add vision capability to it. We immediately contacted Microscan to help us with this project. Microscan offered the technical expertise, experience and willingness to help us develop the vision technology needed to make the JX-100 a breakthrough machine for us. We are pleased to have used Microscan and its partners to provide us with that technology,” said Bob Black, President and CEO of Juki.
