PCB Test Point Provide Easy Component Access

Wire and spring specialist William Hughes can now offer three different versions of its PCB test point - small, large and long-legged in quantities suitable for prototype work or volume production.

Suitable for use as either test points or terminals, all three types feature a large loop for easy probe attachment or to facilitate the clipping on of other components.

A glass bead in a choice of eight colours - white, yellow, black, brown, blue, pink, red and green - offers wide scope for colour coding while the phosphor bronze solder tinned tag features slightly splayed legs to ensure a snug fit to the board and prevent any damage to through-plated holes during assembly.

The test point also remains securely in position should the board be reversed for flow soldering.

Test points are ideal for components that need frequent replacement and are also suitable for raising hot components above the surface of the PCB.
