Aqueous Technologies Releases Free Cleaning and Contamination Guide

Aqueous Technologies, a manufacturer of fully automated cleaning/defluxing machines and cleanliness testing equipment, announces that it has released a Cleaning and Contamination Guide. The guide was written by Aqueous’ CEO Michael Konrad and is available for download free of charge at www.aqueoustech.com/cleaning-book-1.

The Cleaning and Contamination (Equipment and Environment) Guide includes sections on:

  • The history of cleaning 

  • The "end" of cleaning

  • The ECM cookbook
    (Dendritic growth, electrical leakage and CAF failures)

  • Modern cleaning methods

  • Modern cleaning challenges 

Cleaning "Best Practices," protecting the environment, chemical and other process decisions are all part of this 26-page guide. Additionally, contamination failure mechanisms are covered.

Michael Konrad is an SMT Advisory Board member and President of Aqueous Technologies. Konrad was a member of IPC’s Stencil Cleaning Task Group, contributing to the IPC-7526 Stencil and Misprinted Board Cleaning Handbook and IPC 5-31Cleaning Handbook.
