This position is in our Reynosa manufacturing facility, which is across the border from McAllen, Texas.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for PCBA, SMT, THT, Wave Solder and secondary operations which will include:
=Ensure production readiness of key processes in the PCBA assembly cycle
=Monitor and continuously improve the quality of manufacturing processes (PPM defect, RCCA, etc.)
=Support cross functional continuous process improvement projects (Six Sigma, Kaizen, Continuous improvement)
=Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, work instructions and processes
=Design experiments to develop optimum production processes. (Solder paste selection, stencil designs, feeder setup methodology, selective soldering techniques etc.)
=Evaluate, troubleshoot to root cause and problem-solve SMT & wave solder profiles, manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tools, materials, chemicals and processes.
=Write pre and post build DFM reports
=Develop appropriate secondary manufacturing processes: rework processes, hot air, BGA repair.
interface with production and Quality teams
=Provide annual cost reduction opportunities for the company
=Maintain PCBA key performance indicators like PPM defect level, OEE %
=Conduct engineering evaluations, statistical analysis and corrective actions supporting process improvement efforts
Position Requirements
=BSEE or Equivalent Engineering degree preferred
=6 or more years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
=Experienced in SMT, through-hole, wave solder processes
=Knowledgeable in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001
=Experienced in SMT/Wave process evaluation, control and validation, FMEA, SPC, and first article process controls
=Experience in programming SMT equipment (Panasonic preferred) and wave solder equipment.
=Knowledgeable in IPC7711/ IPC7721
=Knowledge of Automatic Insertion equipment Axial, Radial
=Ability to read and write technical English terms with proficiency
=Enough ability to speak technical terms in English
=Experience using lean manufacturing concepts. Continuous improvement champion, Six-Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt is considered a plus
=Experience working in a Union environment
