SMT Supervisor

We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced SMT Supervisor.  Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for the hands on management of the SMT manufacturing lines, including process, programming, scheduling and supervision of all SMT personnel.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Utilize offline software to generate SMT and AOI programs.
• Create reflow profiles insuring integrity of solder joints within internal quality guidelines and IPC-A-610 standards.
• Requires in-depth experience with SMT and BGA technologies.
• Provide input to minimize cost, lead-time and quality.
• Direct personnel and manage daily production operations and activities to ensure the on-time delivery of products.
• Analyze yield of SMT processes to ensure process capabilities and throughput.
• Analyze SMT defects to determine likely failure modes.
• In-depth knowledge of processes, workflow, task and job management, quality systems and management of personnel.
• Identify and implement process changes to improve yields, reduce costs, improve runtime, reduce downtime and improve quality for all products.
• Perform root cause analysis of day-to-day issues associated with the manufacturing.
• Keep technicians and operators up to date on important process activities.
• Demonstrate ability to develop, lead and motivate multifunctional teams in a dynamic environment.  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider PRIMUS team.

Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of recent SMT manufacturing experience.
• Management experience including supervision of assigned staff.
• 3 years running SMT lines in a low to medium volume, high mix environment.
• Experience in manufacturing with lead and lead-free process chemical streams.
