Job Description:

Winslow Automation, Inc. (aka Six Sigma), an industry leader in electronic component interconnect technology & related test and failure analysis services, is seeking individuals specializing in materials lab testing to join our team.

We have openings during day shift (7am-3:30pm) or swing shift (3:30-12:00am)

This individual will be responsible for performing tests using various types of laboratory equipment, such as SEM, XRF and CSAM. This position requires handling of product or information which is subject to ITAR regulations. Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 


Responsibilities:
 

• Operate equipment in various areas including but not limited to: 
 

o X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)
 

o Metrology
 

o Pull Tester
 

o Ball Shear
 

o Bond Pull
 

o Microscope Photography
 

o Mark Permanency
 

o Fine and Gross Leak
 

o Solderability
 

o Cross Sectioning
 

o Ionic Conductivity
 

o Lead Fatigue on components per applicable specifications.
 

• Some operations involve work with solder, flux, acids and other chemicals.
 

• Must learn visual inspection of components using optical microscope.
 

• Make sure all specifications and procedures are followed efficiently while maintaining a high quality to meet specified goals.
 

• Abide by the company safety and personnel policies.
 

• Work assigned schedule including overtime as needed.
 

• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment, workstations and any other areas used.
 

• Attend and participate in meetings.
 

• Present problems or inefficiencies with a recommended solution to your supervisor.
 

• Participate in implementing efficiency improvements and solutions.
 

• Learn and operate new equipment as operations expand.
 

• Make sure tests are performed properly.
 

• Abide by Quality Management Systems
 

• Other duties that are assigned in these areas of responsibilities but not specifically listed.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
 

Experience: Minimum 3 years experience or equivalent; experience in semiconductor or PCB work experience is not required, but preferred.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

• English reading comprehension and math skill at 12th grade level.
 

• Fluent in speaking and writing sentences and paragraphs acceptable in English standard.
 

• Must have the ability to read, comprehend and follow directions.
 

• Mechanically and chemistry inclined.
 

• Microscope experience.
 

• Knowledge of a variety of lab equipment such as Metrology, XRF, Ball Shear, Pull Test, Ionic Cleanliness, Solderability, Leak Test, FTIR, Acoustic Imaging preferred; not required
 

• Must have good vision, hand/finger dexterity, basic computer knowledge, chemical awareness and the ability to perform repetitive tasks thoroughly and efficiently without error.
