I'm looking to automate my PCB labeling. Anyone have any insight (especially first-hand users) into this type of system?

Try Hover-Davis. They make a feeder that most popular brands of pick and place machines can place labels from. You can purchase one that you put your own labels on or you can spend more and get the Label Generator feeder.

Mike, I have a used Computype machine that pulls labels from a printer and installs them on the pcb. I can send you pictures and copies of the specs from the manual if you like. Best regards, Clark

We have a Hoover_Davis label feeder. We use on size label for most of our products so it works well for us. It's a well-built machine. We had some problems with the label in particular, so we had to buy from a different source. It runs great.

If you guys use different size labels, ask how this would affect your feeder, is it one size fits all? Or will you be required to buy additional items to accommodate different labels? How does it affect the base price?

Do you need to change label manufacturers or the labels that you are currently using be ok.

Nozzles, do you need to special order them or have some in house that will work?

Hope this helps.
