Adhesive printing thin plastic- vs. metal stencil | 17 April, 2002

Hello.

There is been a lot of talk about thick plastic stencils vs. metal stencils for adhesive printing, but how about thin plastic stencils?

We used to use a very thin plastic stencil (from loctite) with printgap (=snap-off) to adhesive printing, and now we are going to adhesive printing again and I'm wondering should I go with that thin plastic stencil again or change to metal stencil?

Our product is relatively simple one (chips, sot-23, SOs, and few DPAKs etc. ). Our machine is DEK265.

What printing mode you are used with metal stencils in DEK: "print", "print/print", "print/flood" or "adhesive"? What are the main differeces?
