| There's a company out the that makes air sleds for moving equipment around. Air sleds are heavy duty plastic plastic bags with lots of little holes in the under-side. The bag is positioned under the equipment. A vacuum cleaner, hooked-up backwards, (so it's a vacuum uncleaner) is hooked up to the bag and fills it with air and lifts the equipment up. The air blowing from the holes in the underside creates a low friction surface and allows the equipment to be moved around and repositioned. | Who has experience good or bad with these things? | The company that makes these things that I'm aware of is: Airsled, 70A Aleph Dr., Newark, DE 19702 800.247.7533 fax 302.996.6468 | Steve: Please breath deeply before responding to this. | Thanks | Dave F Dave, I have a buddy that works for Siemens. When he was over in Munich, he said they were using those things to move around these monstrous assemblies. The assemblies were over 20 tons. It was some kind of industrial robotics gizmo. Anyway, he said that just 2 guys were pushing this huge thing around. I would say, judging by that story, these things work pretty well. sorry it wasn't first hand. hope it helps a little. justin
